1960-1964 BRAKE LIGHT SWITCHES

This is the brake light switch who's purpose is to illuminate the brake lights when the brake pedal is depressed. It is located in the engine compartment on the master cylinder on all models of the 1960 - 1964 Ford Falcon & Mercury Comet. The later Falcons use a different switch located on the brake pedal. If this switch is suspected to be faulty, be sure to check that there is Positive 12 Volts to one of the two wires. You can further isolate a faulty switch by jumping the 2 wires together at the switch which should illuminate the brake lights.
