This part is a new pitman arm designed to fit all models of the 1965 Ford Falcon & Mercury Comet equipped with a V-8 engine and a 1 1/8" steering box sector shaft.
 
It is necessary to change the pitman arm when switching from 1963/64 V-8 steering to 1965 V-8 steering.
 
This pitman arm will work with manual or power steering.
 
If a 1 1/8" socket will fit on the nut which retains the pitman arm, it means you have a 1" sector shaft. If it takes a larger socket, it means you have a 1 1/8" sector shaft.
